Like most Arai helmets, the Quantic is handmade, offering a highly resistant shell and its characteristic round shape that promotes impact force distribution. It provides improved aerodynamics, gliding through the air efficiently. It includes the emergency release system. It is already certified with the new ECE R22.06 homologation.

• Description
  • Outer shell made of PB e-cLc (Peripherally Belted e-Complex Laminate Construction). The Quantic's outer shell design features an elegant, organic shape. It uses PB e-cLc for lightweight strength and, for the first time, integrated side ducts. The AR mat has been replaced with a new material that reduces weight while maintaining strength. An additional layer of Super Fiber belts, instead of the Hyper Ridge found around the base of the Profile-V, maintains rigidity in a crucial area while offering flat sides for easy intercom fitting. The Variable Axis System (VAS) lowers the visor mounting system and provides an average of an additional 24 mm in both temple areas, to create the ideal, smoother shape that increases energy-shedding capability. Like the Profile-V, the Quantic's shell is widened by 5 mm around the base, to facilitate easy entry and exit from the helmet.
  • Variable Axis System (VAS). With the VAS system, the visor mounting position is lowered, allowing for an average of 24 mm more space around both temple areas, seeking the ideal smoother shape that will increase the ability to dissipate impact energy. As a result, a smoother shell has been achieved along and below the Snell standard test line.

  VENTILATION

  • Exclusive Quantic ventilation. Full, controllable ventilation is based on 13 ventilation ports: 7 intake, 6 exhaust. The 3D Arai logo feeds cooling air into two central intake ports and works well at low speeds, along with top intakes, vents, and a 2-position sliding air intake. Hot air is efficiently extracted through the exhaust system (3-way one-piece rear spoiler), the dual inserted side intakes (with foam dams to reduce noise), and the neck exhaust system.

  FRONT VENTILATION

  • 3D Arai logo duct. Immediately noticeable, the new duct with the Arai 3D logo (made as narrow as possible, with only 3.5 mm depth) feeds two 10 mm central intake ports. This is a first for Arai, and is entirely due to the strength of PB e-cLc and the shell construction. It also works very well at low speeds and with an upright riding position; at just 50 km/h it channels an additional 40% airflow, at 120 km/h it's 7%. It can also be easily opened or closed with summer or winter gloves, via a short-stroke lever placed at the top; if the rider cannot see the lever and the logo is in its normal place, the duct is open. The Arai logo duct is designed to detach in the event of an impact.
  • Chin air intake. Also new is the sliding chin air intake with 3-position air intake (open, intermediate, and closed) which flows a greater volume of incoming air and has a replaceable filter. The actuation mechanism is thicker and easier to use with gloves.
  • Front ventilation. The visor has two direct air intakes to the temple area.

  REAR VENTILATION

  • Rear spoiler. Improves aerodynamics and stability for touring use and extracts air from the interior. It is important to note that it is designed to detach or break upon impact so as not to interfere with the safety provided by the helmet, so it has no impact on protection.
  • Air outlet inside the neck.
  • Side air outlets. They extract hot air from the interior and reduce noise.

  VISOR

  • VAS Max Vision shield.

  INTERIOR

  • Brushed nylon lining. Using the Profile-V and RX-7V interiors as benchmarks, the Quantic interior was designed from scratch for maximum comfort, airflow (there are two holes in the forehead area) and light weight. The inner pads and cheek pads are easily removable for cleaning or adjustment.
  • Replaceable interior. The entire interior can be easily disassembled. All parts (replaceable or not) can be cleaned with warm water and mild detergent. After cleaning, the helmet should be rinsed thoroughly and should never be placed to dry exposed to direct sunlight or near a heat source. We have interior parts of different thicknesses and sizes to accommodate each rider.
  • Speaker pockets. Integrated communication systems are very popular, but often the problem is space limitations for a speaker or simply that there isn't one, causing uncomfortable pressure points. It has special pockets that leave space for mounting speakers without affecting comfort or fit. (Speaker not included).
  • FCS (Facial Contour System). The FCS system, designed to offer an even snugger fit and improve comfort in the lower chin area, works by means of a support consisting of a foam spring in the cheek pad that compresses and rebounds, providing the necessary support without excessive pressure.
  • Peel Away 5mm temple padding. Arai's peel-away temple and crown pads offer the option of enjoying an additional 5 mm of interior width* if needed.

  COMFORT

  • Emergency Release System (ERS). Allows easier access in case the rider is injured. The cheek pads can be removed by sliding them out by pulling the orange tabs integrated into them. This facilitates helmet removal for rescuers and medical personnel. And it minimizes the risk of additional injuries.
  • Nose guard. Works in conjunction with the Dual-Pivot® chin bar ventilation to better direct fresh air to the inner surface of the shield, while directing hot exhaled air downwards to extract it from the inner surface of the helmet.
  • Fixed chin curtain.
  • 5 mm wider base. This makes it easier to put on and take off the helmet.
  • Intercom ready without reducing EPS safety.

  FEATURES

  • Glancing off. To minimize the impact energy entering the helmet, it is essential that a helmet can slide over a surface. Arai believes that a durable, rounded, and smooth shell helps increase the helmet's ability to protect the rider during an impact. Shells with sharp edges or air intakes that do not break can reduce the helmet's gliding ability, transmit energy to the helmet, or even dangerously increase rotational energy.
  • Inspected five times. Every Arai helmet goes through five independent quality control departments: post-shell manufacturing inspections, after painting and graphic finishing, after assembly, and two more during the process.
  • Washable interior. The premium interior of any Arai helmet can be easily washed without removing it, with warm water and mild soap.
  • Handmade. Experts can take up to five years to achieve creating an Arai shell. Each shell can include up to 27 steps, and making an Arai helmet requires approximately 18 hours.
  • All-day comfort. All-day comfort with Arai's shape and interior fit in conjunction with the highest quality lining materials and the exhaustive ventilation system. Thanks to the helmet's perfect balance and weight distribution, wearing an Arai is barely noticeable.
  • Penetration tested. All Arai helmets are subjected to penetration tests, even if European standards do not require it. Arai's penetration test is carried out with a 3 kg test cone impacting the helmet from a height of 3 m.
  • Double D-ring closure device. The flat, D-shaped rings fit smoothly to the chin. With no moving parts or corrosion issues, simply pull the tab to loosen the fastening.
  • Smooth shape, better protection. The smoother outer shell of Arai helmets is designed to slide without offering unnecessary resistance. It is not desirable to decelerate the helmet more than necessary. This is why vents and ducts are designed to detach upon impact.
  • Hard outer shell, soft inner lining. Arai uses a very hard outer shell to distribute impact forces and a soft inner lining to absorb the remaining energy. The multi-density EPS inner liner is manufactured using exclusive technology that combines three to five densities in various areas as a single component.
  • Anatomical shape. The anatomical shape of Arai's outer shell offers a more natural look, provides greater firmness, and adapts better to the natural shape of the head to increase comfort and fit and to minimize air turbulence.
  • Different outer shells. Unlike many other manufacturers, Arai offers one outer shell size for every two helmet sizes in most models. In conjunction with the different shaped outer shells for different models, it is virtually impossible not to find what you are looking for.
