The RX-7V EVO model represents the pinnacle of Arai's knowledge, experience, and skill as helmet technology experts. With an all-new PB-SNC² outer shell, the revolutionary VAS system for the visor, and a significantly smoother area around the temples, the RX-7V EVO is the new benchmark helmet in the high-end segment.

  • Description

    From the also new antimicrobial material liner with an even thinner frame, to the new ducts, improved diffuser, and integrated air channels, every part demonstrates Arai's typical attention to detail. Arai has continuously improved "impact deviation" performance by learning from real-world scenarios. Thanks to the new smoother and stronger shell and the VAS system, the RX-7V brings us closer than ever to the ideal helmet shape. With the VAS system, the visor mounting position is lowered, allowing for an average of 24 mm more space around both temple areas, seeking the ideal smoother shape that will increase the ability to dissipate impact energy. As a result, a smoother shell has been achieved along and below the Snell standard test line.

    GENERAL:

    • Outer shell: PB-SNC2 (Peripheral Belt Structural Net Composite). Peripheral Belt Structural Net Composite. Arai's patented Peripheral Belt (Super Fiber Belt), borrowed from F-1 technology, maximizes the strength and flexibility of the shell while maintaining low weight. Placed along the top of the eye-area ventilation holes, this band allows for a thinner EPS liner, significantly improving the upward field of vision. The structural net composite adds a physical bond to the resin adhesion of the numerous fiber layers and reinforcing materials inside the shell. Newly formulated "Z-Mixture" resins allow for the use of a greater amount of fiber with the same strength and rigidity, allowing us to create an even lighter and thinner outer shell without compromising safety.
    • Variable Axis System (VAS). With the VAS system, the visor mounting position is lowered, allowing for an average of 24 mm more space around both temple areas, seeking the ideal smoother shape that will increase the ability to dissipate impact energy. As a result, a smoother shell has been achieved along and below the Snell standard test line.

    VENTILATION:

    • The new ventilation system combining new air intakes with completely redesigned diffusers ensures and maintains optimal temperature in all conditions of use. The redesigned front air intake ensures an 11% higher incoming airflow than the previous generation, and thanks to the new opening/closing system, it is even easier to operate. The new diffusers have been extended by 20 mm and can activate 19% more air, working in conjunction with the air wing to stabilize the helmet at high speeds. The removable chin strap helps eliminate turbulence and, thanks to the Venturi effect, maximizes the supply of fresh air to the air intake through the chin guard.
    • Free Flow System (FFS). Generates airflow under the helmet that reduces turbulence and wind noise while increasing hot air exhaust.
    • Air exhaust routes from the eye area have been improved, passing through an ad hoc air channel to a side opening of size 6, which improves its efficiency and reduces noise.

    FRONT VENTILATION:

    • Central upper ventilation. The new IC Duct5 allows 11% more airflow than the previous Delta Duct5. The actuation mechanism is now larger, allowing easier opening and closing. The IC Duct5 has three positions: closed, semi-open, and fully open, to adjust airflow and prevent water ingress when fully closed.
    • Diffuser system. The new diffusers are 20 mm longer and have been straightened for aerodynamics, collaborating with the Air-Wing to improve stability. Compared to previous diffusers, the efficiency of the intake deflectors of the new diffusers has increased by 19%. The new air intake openings for ventilation not only offer more adjustability with their three positions of closed, semi-open, and fully open, but also help improve sealing, reducing wind noise and water ingress.
    • Front ventilation extended to the temple area. Fresh air can enter the helmet without the need for holes in an area statistically highly subjected to impacts. In some specific models, ventilation is also extended to the temple area.
    • Chin ventilation with 3 positions. Three-position chin ventilation facilitates visor demisting and provides the rider with renewed fresh air.

    REAR VENTILATION:

    • Neck exhaust vent. To improve the extraction of hot air from inside. Increases the ventilation effect in the lower part of the helmet.
    • Side air vents. Generate low pressure behind the rear ventilation opening to improve hot air extraction. Integrated into the shell for better aerodynamics, they reduce wind noise and prevent shaking that occurs at high speeds. Inside, a small foam barrier facilitates the absorption and reduction of excess noise without diminishing ventilation performance.

    AERODYNAMICS:

    • Retractable chin spoiler. Helps minimize wind noise and also facilitates the extraction of hot air from the face area. Provides additional ability to deflect road debris from the neck area.
    • Adjustable patented Air Wing®. Designed and tested in MotoGP to achieve a huge reduction in drag, turbulence, and buffeting, ensuring more comfort and speed. Improves helmet stability at high speeds or when braking sharply and reduces noise. Depending on the model, adjustable in five different attack angle positions to suit all riding positions.

    VISOR:

    • VAS max vision screen with anti-fog option. The VAS MAX Vision screen is the standard for offering better visibility in all seasons and for all types of riding.
    • New screen locking system. Directly inherited from the F1 helmet, the new screen opening-closing system works on three axes and in the locked position, it closes the screen like never before. By lifting the new system with a simple gesture (even with gloves), it is possible to activate the function.
    • Pinlock insert lens. Effectively prevents the visor from fogging up or condensation, even in extreme humidity conditions. It is easy to clean and change.

    INTERIOR:

    • Antimicrobial interior padding. Helps maintain neutral acidity levels close to human skin and has antibacterial properties. With the aim of making the fit softer, deeper, and even more comfortable, we have developed a softer material for the liner frame. The liner also features adjustable padding over the temples, allowing for a custom fit.
    • Replaceable interior. The entire interior can be easily disassembled. All parts (replaceable or not) can be cleaned with lukewarm water and a mild detergent. After cleaning, the helmet should be rinsed thoroughly and never placed to dry exposed to direct sunlight or near a heat source. We have interior parts of different thicknesses and sizes to accommodate each rider.
    • Replaceable chin strap covers.
    • Removable neck roll.
    • Speaker pockets. Integrated communication systems are very popular, but often the problem is space limitations for a speaker or simply that there is none, causing uncomfortable pressure points. It has special pockets that leave space for mounting speakers without affecting comfort or fit. (Speaker not included).
    • FCS (Facial Contour System). The FCS system, designed to offer an even tighter fit and improve comfort in the lower chin area, works through a support consisting of a foam spring in the cheek pad that compresses and rebounds, providing the necessary support without excessive pressure.
    • 5mm "peel-away" ear/cheek pads. Providing more capacity to achieve perfection in fit and comfort, the cheek pads now include a 5mm peel-away layer for more space if needed.
    • Peel Away 5mm temple padding. Arai's peel-away temple and crown pads offer the option of enjoying an additional 5mm of interior width* if needed.
    • Thin center pad for more space in the front area.

    COMFORT:

    • Emergency Release System (ERS). Allows easier access in case the rider is injured. The cheek pads can be removed by sliding them off by pulling the orange tabs integrated into them. This facilitates helmet removal for rescuers and medical personnel. And the risk of additional injuries is minimized.
    • Breath guard. Works in conjunction with the Dual-Pivot® chin vent to better direct fresh air to the inner surface of the shield, while directing hot exhaled air downwards to extract it from the inner surface of the helmet.
    • Chin curtain (Removable). The bottom of the helmet has a new fabric adhered to cover the chin area which also accentuates the oval shape. This fabric has a dual function: it blocks air entry from below due to turbulence and increases negative pressure to improve the air exhaust function of the FFS system, extracting more air from the mouth area. The improved airflow further reduces noise.

    ARAI HELMET FEATURES

    • Glancing Off. To minimize the impact energy entering the helmet, it is essential that a helmet can slide over a surface. Arai believes that a durable, rounded, and smooth shell helps increase the helmet's ability to protect the motorcyclist during an impact. Shells with sharp edges or air intakes that do not break can reduce the helmet's gliding ability, transmit energy to the helmet, or even dangerously increase rotational energy.
    • Five times inspected. Every Arai helmet goes through five independent quality control departments: inspections after shell construction, after painting and graphic finishing, after assembly, and two more during the process.
    • Washable interior. The premium interior of any Arai helmet can be easily washed without removing it, with lukewarm water and mild soap.
    • Handmade. It can take experts up to five years to create an Arai shell. Each shell can include up to 27 stages, and manufacturing an Arai helmet requires approximately 18 hours.
    • All-day comfort. All-day comfort with Arai's shape and internal fit in conjunction with the highest quality liner materials and the comprehensive ventilation system. Thanks to the helmet's perfect balance and weight distribution, wearing an Arai is barely noticeable.
    • Penetration tested. All Arai helmets undergo penetration tests, even if European standards do not require it. Arai's penetration test is performed with a 3 kg test cone impacting the helmet from a height of 3 m.
    • Double D-ring closure device. Flat, D-shaped rings fit smoothly against the chin. No moving parts or corrosion problems, just pull the tab to loosen the fastening.
