Motorcycle Helmets for Women

Finding the right motorcycle helmet for women is not just a matter of style: head shape, neck size, and riding position are often different from those of a standard unisex helmet. At Maximo Moto, we select helmets from approved brands such as GIVI and KAPPA, designed with tighter interior padding, reduced weight, and finishes specifically tailored for female riders, without compromising safety or ECE 22.06 certification.

Types of Women's Motorcycle Helmets

Depending on your riding style, there is a more suitable helmet type:

  • Full-face helmet for women — maximum protection, ideal for road and long trips.
  • Jet helmet for women — lighter and more ventilated, perfect for city and short commutes.
  • Modular helmet for women — flip-up chin bar, combines the comfort of a jet with the protection of a full-face.

How to Choose the Correct Size

Measure the circumference of your head 2 cm above your eyebrows with a flexible tape measure. Compare the result with the size chart for each product (usually 53 to 61 cm / XS to XL). If you are between two sizes, choose the smaller one: the inner padding usually gives slightly with use.

Safety and Regulations

All our women's motorcycle helmets comply with European standard ECE 22.06, the current and mandatory safety certification in Spain and the EU. Always check the manufacturing date (printed inside) and replace the helmet every 5 years or after any strong impact.

Measure your head circumference with a tape measure and compare it to the product size chart. Most of our helmets range from size XS (53–54 cm) to XL (61–62 cm).

A full-face helmet offers greater protection and is ideal for highway driving or long trips. A jet helmet is lighter and more comfortable in the city, but leaves the face exposed. If you're looking for a balance between the two, a modular helmet is a good intermediate option.

Yes. They generally have a narrower interior fit, are lighter, and often feature exclusive designs and colors; however, the protection and certification (ECE 22.06) are the same across all approved helmets.

It is recommended to replace it every 5 years from the date of manufacture, or immediately after any fall or strong impact, even if there is no visible external damage.

It depends on the model. Consult each product's page: some full-face helmets, such as the GIVI 50.9 Atomic, include an integrated sun visor and are Pinlock anti-fog ready.
