Suomy SR-GP gamma lightweight motorcycle racing helmet sets a new standard for high performance, pushing established boundaries to unprecedented levels. Crafted through an extensive collaborative effort with elite MotoGP and Road Racing riders from the conceptual stages, its design represents a synthesis of meticulous study aimed at achieving peak performance. With remarkable aerodynamics (Cx 0.39) optimized for diverse riding positions, including cornering, alongside an impressive vertical and peripheral field of view (92 degrees and 210 degrees respectively), the SR-GP offers unparalleled visibility. Its highly efficient ventilation system and ergonomics are engineered to minimize rider fatigue. Featuring an optical class 1 visor with variable thickness and a Pinlock MaxVision 120 anti-fog system, the SR-GP sets a new benchmark in the world of racing helmets.

Suomy helmet’s Design and R&D Department draws upon over two decades of racing helmet expertise and a profound passion for racing. Naturally, the racing helmet stands as the pinnacle of innovation, balancing crucial elements such as safety, premium materials, ergonomics, aerodynamics, and ventilation within a lightweight framework. Design plays a pivotal role in integrating these performance attributes into the most innovative, cohesive, and balanced manner to deliver a product of the highest caliber. To accomplish this, we employ cutting-edge tools including CAS 3D, CAD 3D, CFD, wind tunnel testing, rapid prototyping, and invaluable input from top MotoGP and Road Racing riders.

SHELL:

The shell is made of TRICARBOCO fiber, a new composite that allows to obtain a lighter but at the same time harder and more protective shell. The new composite is a mixture of carbon with different weight/breaking loads linked up with aramid resins that ensure a light, but much more resistant-to-impacts shell. To satisfy even the most exigent customers, SR-GP EVO is produced in four different shell: S,M, L and XL. 

PROTECTIVE POLYSTYRENE:

Internal polystyrene liner is realized in four sizes (S, M, L and XL) to obtain a better ergonomics and a variable density. This characteristic allows a gradual and progressive absorption of the power produced by the impact. Even if the bigger part of the energy created by the impact is absorbed by the external shell, thanks to its deformation, the role of polystyrene is crucial for the absorption of the residual power. A different density of the polystyrene allows to optimize the mechanical performance of the shell-polystyrene, ensuring the maximum level of absorption in all areas of the helmet.

AERODYNAMICS:

SR-GP EVO has been designed as an extension of the human body to guarantee excellent performance, on the fast straights and also in corners, an unprecedented revolution in the helmet design concept.

VENTILATION:
